I Started as a DJ Roadie for the mobile group "The Bomb Squad" in 1997, I soaked in the work, and learned everything I can about the the mobile DJ buisness. After "The Bomb Squad" had disbanded, I decided to start my own crew and Co-Founded Rockit City DJ's along with Dan Domagas and Brian Chung in 2003.
I started DJing in the early 2000s with a modest record collection, second-hand DJ equipment, and a raw but genuine appreciation for DJing as a craft. Throughout this journey, I’ve confirmed that my favorite genres of music are, in no particular order, everything 90s (hip-hop, R&B, slow jams, alternative, you name it), New Jack Swing, Freestyle, 80s post-disco and electro funk, blue-eyed soul, and disco house. I believe that music is powerful in that it can create and evoke memories, make a bad day good and a good day perfect, and is a form of expression that DJs use to speak their hearts and minds, and hopefully get your toes tapping in the process.
Formerly a member of the Bomb Squad, Eric started working in mobile sound and lighting in the late 90s, learning the ins and outs of planning and performing at an event. Under the influence of fellow members, Dan Domagas and Mark Maiden, Eric started learning the craft of DJing and spun at his first event New Year's Eve 2005. Eric grew up listening to a wide variety of genres spawning an eclectic taste in music, with funk and soul at the top of the list. "Not only are we fortunate to provide a service that is wrapped in joy and music, but we're also able to be a part of these once in a lifetime events with friends, family and more often than not, complete strangers as if they were one in the same."
